Application for Editor in Chief/Management
The KSU Student Media Board is currently accepting applications for the following:
The Sentinel newspaper Editor in Chief, Spring Term (January - April 2009; 13 issues) Position Requirements: • Candidates must be an enrolled KSU student with an adjusted GPA of at least 2.5 • Have completed at least one semester with a KSU student media organization, or equivalent* • Be willing to complete training as assigned • Have strong communication skills and ability to motivate staff • Maintain office hours • Be willing to work closely with the student media advisor, advisors, and student media board* Please be aware of the Interview dates & times before applying.

You may only apply for one position/media. Multiple applications will result in disqualification.

*INTERVIEW DATES: If you are granted an interview, you will be required to attend a Student Media Board editor selection meeting. The meeting for interviews for The Sentinel (spring '09 semester term) will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. As we cannot accommodate all schedules, please insure you are available at this time BEFORE applying. We cannot promise we can accommodate your needs, but if you have scheduling problems, contact the media adviser. Applicants who have not worked with a KSU Student Media Organization are required to meet with the media adviser prior to the interview. **Your student ID number and GPA are only needed for verification and position requirement purposes. This information will not be shared with SMB members or other students. By submitting this application I am signifying I understand my GPA and KSU standing will be verified by the media adviser. Once the application is received you will be contacted by the adviser via the e-mail address listed in your application.
