Homecoming 2006 was scheduled for the weekend starting Thursday, October 26 through Sunday, October 29, 2006. The Sentinel Reunion activities all took place on Saturday, Oct. 28. The celebration for KSU's newspaper's 40th birthday began with the Alumni Brunch at 10:30AM in the new Convocation Center followed by a reception for Sentinel alumni upstairs in the Hospitality Suite. The Sentinel's Time Capsule ceremony was at the paper's office, student center 277 at 5:30 p.m. and Dinner for past & present newspaper staff will be at the Alumni House at 6:30 p.m. Click here to see the items included. Soon we'll post photographs from the celebration - check back often for updates. If you are interested in attending future reunions, complete a Sentinel Alumni Information Update Form (Editor's Notes). If you are interested in helping coordinate future reunions, let the student media adviser know at ebonza@kennesaw.edu. If you have served as Sentinel Editor in Chief (or were even a member of the staff), or know someone who has - please complete the SENTINEL ALUMNI INFORMATION UPDATE FORM. The Sentinel History Posters & Student Media Tee These posters, detailing the decade at KSU through the pages of The Sentinel and Montage yearbook, were on display at Homecoming 2006. Student Media tee shirts were also given to Sentinel newspaper alumni. To request a Sentinel History Poster, select one you would like. For a tee shirt, please give me the desired size. Email me this information, along with your mailing address, and I'll get them to you as quickly as possible! Posters and shirts are free to alumni who attended this year's homecoming and newspaper reunion events. Others may purchase the posters here.

The following offices & organizations sponsored the Sentinel's 40th Anniversary events & programs: Alumni Affairs assists the educational mission of the University and concentrates its energies on programs and services for alumni of KSU. The Department of Archives and Records Management was established in 2004 and their purpose is to identify, preserve, and make available records and papers of enduring value created or received by Kennesaw State University and its employees. The Office of Student Media is part of the Department of Student Life and has 4 student media organizations: The Sentinel, Talon, Share and the KSU Student Handbook & Daily Planner.
