Welcome to the heart & soul of student life at KSU!
Many organizations are
available for students, and they invite you to become involved. Groups
offer activities and opportunities to meet students and faculty members
who share your interests. For an organization to be registered and active
for the 2006-2007 school year, officers must attend a registered
student organization meeting. One required meeting is held Fall
and Spring semesters. Contact the Coordinator of Registered Student Organizations for more information.

Use the sub-menus
on the left to browse specific categories - interest groups, honor
societies, fraternities and sororities, political and religious [updated
5.18.05]. The menu will also take you directly to our larger, established
groups - Student Government, the Kennesaw Activities Board (KAB) and
student media groups such as The Sentinel newspaper. To start a new
group, review the information below.

We want to start a new group!
If you
want to start a new student organization at Kennesaw State University,
there are certain criteria and requirements which must be met before
making a presentation to SABAC (the Student Activity Budget Advisory
Committee). To start a new student organization, you must complete the
following steps:
Step
1: Attend one of the mandatory organization
start-up meetings. At the meeting, you will be given all the materials
you need to start an organization, and you will learn about the process
for approval and registration. Please note that you MUST attend one
of these meetings.
Step 2: After you have
written your group by-laws, named a faculty advisor, and obtained a
list of interested students, you will need to make an appointment with
the Coordinator of Registered Student Organizations.
Step
3: Your group will be placed on the SABAC agenda for
approval.
