Although a very active and involved professional, he decided to close his Florida practice in November of 2007, and to relocate to the Canton area outside of Atlanta so that he and his wife could be closer to their family. With a strong desire to continue to his professional involvements, he began teaching at Kennesaw State University, as a Part-Time Instructor of Psychology, in August of 2008.
