LGBTQIQ
ALL students deserve to learn in an environment that is supportive & friendly, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. CPS is a welcoming & safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and questioning (LGBTQIQ) students at Kennesaw State.
As a member of President Papp’s Commission on LGBTQIQ Initiative, I co-facilitate the Safe Space training program for KSU Students. The main purpose of this training is to visibly mark people and places that are “safe” for LGBTQIQ students. A sticker with a rainbow symbol stands out as an affirmation of LGBTQIQ people and lets others know that they are a safe person to approach for support & guidance. Faculty and staff members who complete the training will receive a KSU SAFE SPACE sticker for their office door.
