With a strong commitment to the advancement of the research, education and services provided to young adults in recovery pursuing higher education; the CYAAR hosts conferences, meetings and workshops bringing together individuals with common interests in this field. The 2012 3rd National Collegiate Recovery Conference brought together the expertise of those working in research, treatment, counseling and higher education.

Since the Collegiate Recovery Community is built on peer support, several times during the year, CRC students participate in community events. With the busy lives of students it is important to have several occasions that everyone can get together. Events include holiday parties and back to school events.
Celebration of Recovery
Celebration of Recovery is a meeting open to KSU students and the community. The meeting is held the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 PM during the fall and spring semesters. Celebration is cancelled when that date falls on a holiday or school closing. Please contact our office for room location and other information.
National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week - NCAAW
Fall Observance of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week will be held October 19-25, 2014. College and university students will join with their peers on more than 1,000 campuses across the country to promote NCAAW. During NCAAW, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events, all designed by the campus’ peer education group to reinforce personal responsibility and respect for current state laws and school policies when it comes to the consumption of alcohol beverages.
The Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery invites the parents of CRC students along with CYAAR Board members to Parent Night each year. The event creates an opportunity for parents to learn more about KSU, the CYAAR program, meet the staff and board and meet other parents of students in recovery pursuing their degree.
Parent Night will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014, 7-9pm
