WISE Choices Campaign
About the Grant

In 2011, the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) awarded Kennesaw State University a grant for the purposes of extending alcohol education, abuse prevention and to encourage healthy choices among the KSU campus community.

KSU strongly supports the NCAA and the desire to protect student-athletes by implementing programs that emphasize athletics, academic excellence and initiatives which drive collaboration through the campus and community.  The Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery teamed with Student-Athletes, Student Athlete Success Services, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Center for Health Promotion and Wellness to deliver the Wise Choices Program. The “WISE Choices” program is intended to promote the role of student- athletes and to educate the student body at KSU about the dangers of alcohol misuse.
