International Criminal Justice
Summer 2010


This unique study abroad program includes site visits to Thai Criminal Justice agencies such as prisons, jails, police stations and headquarters, Thai loyal police academy and a court. Students will live and study at Chulalongkorn University with excursions to Chiangmai, Hua Hin and Ratchaburi. It also includes historical and cultural site visits to Doi Suthep, Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha Temple and a floating market. Elephant trekking and rafting are included.

Courses:
All participants will take the following 3 CR HR course:

CRJU 4490 International Criminal Justice (can substitute for the CJ Internship)

No prerequisites.

Housing:
Students will stay in double rooms at Chulalongkorn University and in hotels while traveling.

May 10 – 26, 2010



 

Admissions:
Minimum 2.0 Cumulative GPA and good academic standing.

Application Deadline:
February 1, 2010

A $300 nonrefundable deposit is due at the time of application.
The first program installment of $1345 is due by March 1, 2010.
The second program installment of $1345 is due by March 15, 2010.

Program Cost:
The program cost of $2,990 includes roundtrip airfare and a domestic flight, local transportation, housing, two meals per day (breakfast and lunch), program-related excursions and emergency health insurance. Price does not include tuition. Cost subject to slight change.

Faculty Background:
Dr. Sutham Cheurprakobkit has been leading this study abroad program since 2003.  He served for three years on the Royal Thai Police.
