Program Description
This four-week program combines six semester hours of credit per student in various academic fields depending on participating faculty from the University System of Georgia. Class lectures, field trips, weekend excursions and cultural enrichment workshops are organized to help students acquire a general grasp of the social, cultural and economic systems of China. Tours in Beijing, Xi’an, Zhengzhou and Shanghai will be blended with visits to historical sites and live performances. Highlights include the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Terra Cotta Museum, Shaolin Temple and the Luoyang Grotto. For more information, visit the program Web site, www.daltonstate.edu/china.

Program Cost
The package is $3,650 for the four-week program. The cost includes: round trip airfare from Atlanta to
China, local transportation, accommodations, most meals, visa processing fees, group excursions, admission costs to museums and attractions, emergency health insurance. Program costs do not include tuition.

Courses
Course offerings will include communications, criminal justice, geography, history, management information systems and political science.
Housing
During travels in Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai, two students will share a room in a 3 or 4 stars hotel. In Zhengzhou, students will be housed in a residence hall for foreign students (Hostel of Foreign Students) at Zhengzhou University. Two students will share a room equipped with air-conditioning, TV set, telephone connection, desks, closets, and full bath (shower and toilet). Washers, dryers, and a kitchen are located at a public facility inside the hostel. A computer lab equipped with Internet access is also located at the hostel. Meals will be served three times a day in the university cafeterias. Convenient stores are also available within walking distance.
