All trademark, color and usage standards outlined in this guide are applicable.

Registered trademarks of the university include the following:

The registered trademark symbol ® must be used with all university marks with the exception of the “KSU” mark and the registered official university seal, which requires ™. The seal may not be used without prior written approval from Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing.

Use of the athletics trademarks by colleges or administrative units is restricted to merchandise and apparel only. All artwork must be submitted for approval to designapproval@kennesaw.edu. Athletic marks are not to be used for academic publications or websites.

Kennesaw State reserves the right to reject delivery of or confiscate materials containing unauthorized or incorrect usage based on the standards outlined herein.

Departmental and student licensing information standards

University departments, colleges, organizations and the licensed vendor must obtain written permission from Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing to use Kennesaw State marks. Examples include, but are not limited to, pens, notebooks, caps, shirts, tote bags, backpacks, jackets, glassware, pins and key rings. Artwork and the name of the selected licensed vendor must be submitted for approval before the order is placed to Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing at designapproval@kennesaw.edu. If the vendor is not licensed, the KSU entity will be notified and asked to select a licensed vendor. Only licensed vendors may produce promotional and apparel items bearing university trademarks.

A complete list of licensed vendors is available on the Kennesaw State Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing website.

Once the artwork and vendor have been approved, an approval letter will be sent to the KSU entity and the selected vendor. The letter will outline the KSU licensing guidelines, including royalty requirements.
