Recycling at KSU & in our area

at KSU: KSU's recyclables are taken to SP Recycling's sorting facility in Forest Park, GA. SP uses a "single source" system - the recyclables can be comingled on campus & are then sorted out, mainly by machine, at the sorting facility. Click on this link to see a brief video of how single source recycling is carried out by a different company, Rumpke Recycling: http://www.rumpkerecycling.com/recycling_basics/videos.aspx

KSU accepts paper, cardboard, aluminum, and plastics # 1 - 7 (this includes plastic forks, spoons, etc. from the dining areas). Food waste and food packaging should not go in the recycling bins.
