Cynthia Barrett
Instructor

A member of both VASTA and the Actors Equity Association, Cynthia Barrett continues to work professionally as an actor, voice/speech coach and dialect coach at major theatres in Atlanta and in the Southeast. She has taught voice/speech and acting at UNC Greensboro, UNC Charlotte and the University of Illinois. She was a visiting guest artist at the University of California – Davis and regularly teaches Fitzmaurice technique at national, VASTA registered workshops. As a voice coach, she has worked for theatres including the Alliance Theatre, Georgia Shakespeare, Actor’s Express, North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Illinois Repertory Theatre and the Interlochen Center for the Performing Arts. Her local acting credits include work with the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, Actor’s Express, North Carolina Shakespeare Festival and the Jewish Theatre of the South.
