Patricia Henritze

Patricia Henritze is a writer, teacher and director. In 2007 she was awarded a Theater Communications Group Travel Grant to create a performance piece, "Who’s There?" (inspired by Hamlet) in Budapest, Hungary. Also in 2007 she received a grant from Poets&Writers, Inc., had two excerpts from her memoir published in "Skirt! Magazine" and her new play "Snapshots" was produced in collaboration with the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence. In 2006 she taught Directing at Agnes Scott College, directed a week of Suzan Lori Parks’ "365 Days 365 Plays" for Working Title Playwrights, was a poetry finalist in the Georgia Writers’ Festival and her play "Where you still lived" was chosen for the Brutal Reading Series at the 29th Street Rep in New York. Ms. Henritze has worked at many Atlanta theaters including Theatrical Oufit, Actor’s Express, Aurora and Essential Theatre Festival. She has a B.A. and M.F.A. in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York.
