Chastain Pointe Studios 1 & 2

The Program in Dance opened a new state-of-the-art dance facility at Chastain Pointe in January 2011.  This 8,000-square-foot facility houses faculty offices, a student study lounge, shower and restroom facilities, and two large dance studios.  The main studio 60' X 51' is the largest dance studio in the metro-Atlanta area, fully equipped with a state-of-the-art AV system, Harlequin Cascade flooring and a new Steinway Piano. The second studio at this facility 35' X 30' serves as a venue for percussive dance techniques, as well as a space for students and faculty to work on individual projects.

Recreation Center Studio

The dance studio at the Recreation Center (Building 3) is equipped with a double-sprung floor and international quality dance marley. In addition to the 35' x 56' studio floor, the studio also has a seating capacity of approximately 100.  This space serves as an informal performance venue for studio productions.

Stillwell Theater
The Howard Logan Stillwell Theater, seating 315, is a contemporary proscenium theater with the option of an orchestra pit or an extended apron. It features a computer-controlled lighting system and a state-of-the-art sound system. This space is used for our dance company season concerts, as well as the annual departmental musical. This facility is located in the Joe Mack Wilson Building (Building #31).

Additional Facilities
In addition to these two performance/instructional spaces, the department houses a Studio Black Box Theatre, a Performing Arts Library, Shop Facilities (Scenic and Costume), and a student Computer Lab.
