Dance Studio

The Department of Theatre and Performance Studies opened the new state-of-the-art dance studio in January 2006. This new facility, equipped with a double-sprung floor and international quality dance flooring, houses the new dance program. In addition to the 35' x 56' studio floor, the studio also has a seating capacity of approximately 100.  This space serves as an informal performance venue and, in the future, will be equipped with a complete lighting system. It is located in the Student Recreation Center (Building #3).

Stillwell Theater
The Howard Logan Stillwell Theater, seating 315, is a contemporary proscenium theater with the option of an orchestra pit or an extended apron. It features a computer-controlled lighting system and a state-of-the-art sound system. This space is used for our annual dance company season concerts, as well as the annual departmental musical. It is located in the Joe Mack Wilson Building (Building #31).

Additional Facilities
In addition to these two performance/instructional spaces, the department houses a Studio Theatre, Music and Performing Arts Library, Shop Facilities (Scenic and Costume), and a Theatre Computer Lab.
