It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Program in Dance in the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University. The flexible nature of this academic and performance program in dance is geared towards providing students the opportunity to receive a well-rounded dance education at the undergraduate level. The program offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in dance as well as a 15-hour minor in dance. The dance major allows students the option of developing a concentration in modern, ballet or jazz, giving them the ability to intensify training in a specialized area of interest. Through a variety of academic and practical experiences, the program in dance aims at preparing students physically and intellectually for the professional world of dance. Students also have the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills they need to pursue dance at a graduate level.
