Red Bandanna opened its first store off of West Paces Ferry Road in 1998. Since

The brands of foods vary at Red Bandanna, but the premise is the same. All the foods have all natural ingredients with no chemical preservatives or by-products, all are hypo-allergenic with minimal amounts of corn, wheat, or soy, which are known allergens to animals, and all include probiotics. Probiotics help with sensitivity problems animals might have such as vomiting after eating and loose or discolored stool.
All of the foods at Red Bandanna also contain chelated minerals. Chelated minerals are minerals that are bonded with a protein to help in the absorption rate of the food. Some of these conditioners are sunflowerseed oil, avocado oil, flaxseed oil, niacin, biotin, egg whites, grapeseed oil, and others.
The brand of Red Bandanna food that has the most skin and coat conditioners is the Avo-Derm® brand dog food that is made and distributed by Breeder’s Choice, a pet food company that has been around since 1947. Other Breeder’s Choice brand foods carried by Red Bandanna are APD (Advanced Pet Diets®) and Pinnacle®, both of which are excellent for keeping your pet happy and healthy. Breeder’s Choice has food lines for both canines and felines.
Red Bandanna and its mother company, Flint River Ranch, have their own brands of food as well. The Red Bandanna brand foods for canines and felines come in either an oven-baked broken kibble as well as a steamed and extruded kibble. Oven baked foods are more highly palatable to the animal, but some will turn their noses to the oven-baked and, instead, eat the steamed and extruded kibble. The type of food the dog or cat will enjoy depends on an animal’s own personal tastes, which can be determined through sample testing at one of the eight Red Bandanna stores.

The foods vary from basic maintenance formulas to special low fat and protein diets for overweight and less-active animals.
