Thank you for considering Kennesaw State University.

Non-Traditional/Adult Learners

Non-Traditional/Adult Learners: You have graduated from high school more than five years ago and currently hold a high school diploma or satisfactorily completed the GED.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Submit an application to Kennesaw State University online at GACollege411.org. This requires completing the application and submitting with a $40 application fee payable by debit or credit card.
  2. Submit your official high school transcript. If your school allows you to send them electronically through GaCollege411.org, please use that process. Otherwise, a transcript can be mailed from your high school to Kennesaw State University. If you satisfactorily completed the GED in lieu of graduating from high school, you must submit your official scores.
  3. Submit your official college transcript from all colleges previously attended. If you are enrolled at the time of application, request a transcript showing all work prior to the current term, and also request a final transcript at the end of the term.
  4. Follow the status of your application through the application status check. Please keep in mind that documents can take up to six weeks to be processed. If you see that you must take the COMPASS Exam, sign up through Owl Express, and an admission decision will be made based on the results on the exam.

Admissions Requirements

Applicants eligible for review in this category are exempt from the SAT/ACT and High School College Preparatory Coursework requirement. However, non-traditional students in this category will be required to take, at no charge, the University System of Georgia’s Collegiate Placement Exam or COMPASS examination. Minimum COMPASS requirements are in place to determine eligibility for admission.  Test results may also place the applicant in the Learning Support program for extra non-degree course work in reading, writing and mathematics skills. As an alternative, non-traditional students who have, within the past seven (7) years, posted SAT scores of at least 500 in both Critical Reading and Math, or ACT scores of at least 21 on both English and Math may provide an official score report from the testing service to exempt COMPASS testing.
