The Department of First-Year and Transition Studies promotes student success and academic inquiry through its nationally recognized first-year seminars, its learning communities program, its transitions seminars for transfer and sophomore students, the university's digital literacy course, and the annual First-Year Convocation ceremony. It is also the home of the M.S. in First-Year Studies.
The Department of University Studies serves a variety of undergraduate populations. It offers the custom-designed Integrative Studies degree program, the academic certificate in Leadership Studies, and the Senior-Year Experience seminar. University Studies also houses an array of academic support initiatives including Supplemental Instruction, learning support courses, the Math Lab, and the ESL Study and Tutorial Center.
The Center for Student Leadership prepares tomorrow's leaders today through relevant and informative leadership development programs. A joint collaboration between the Division of Student Success and University College, the CSL offers one-of-a-kind programs that provide education, engagement, and multicultural experiences.
