| Introduction
The Department of University Studies is part of the University College and is designed to serve a broad array of students including those who choose to pursue a new interdisciplinary
degree or participate in one of many interdisciplinary programs.
A wide array of campus-wide academic initiatives that support
student success
at Kennesaw State University are housed in this deparment. Programs include: an award winning Honors
program, long standing Freshman/Senior-Year Experience Programs,
a Sophomore Experience Program, and a new Supplemental Instruction Program.
In addition, the department offers academic assistance in English, Reading
and Mathematics to entering international and non-traditional students
as well as a well-staffed Math Lab for walk-in instruction.

MISSION STATEMENT
A center for programs at the core of the First-Year Experience,
the Department of University Studies facilitates the intellectual
development of students at all levels, freshman to senior, developmental
to honors, helping them reach their full potential as Kennesaw
State students.
