KSU 1101 is a course that provides a strong foundation for first-year students-through close faculty interaction and involvement with the university community-that helps our first-year students achieve academic and personal success.

Beginning in Fall 2005, all full-time, first-year students with fewer than 15 credit hours are required to sign up for either a learning community (KSU 1102) or a first-year seminar (KSU 1101). Students will register for either KSU 1101 or 1102 during Orientation.
