PREPARATION OF AN HONORS 4400 DIRECTED STUDY

PLEASE NOTE:

 

 

 

You must meet with your Honors mentor and determine who will serve as the project supervisor, requesting that instructor’s participation.

You must pick up a “Request for Directed Study Approval” form from the Honors Office.

You must complete the form (with all required signatures, including those of the supervising instructor and your honors mentor) and procure from the supervising instructor a course outline or syllabus to submit as supporting documentation.

You must complete an Honors 4400 contract prospectus form above.

You must submit the Honors prospectus, the completed “Request for Directed Study Approval” form, and your Honors 4400 course syllabus to the Honors Office.
 
ALL HONORS STUDENTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO HAVE MET WITH THEIR HONORS MENTORS FOR THE MANDATORY MIDTERM CONFERENCE (AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR NAME WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE ADVANCED PRIORITY REGISTRATION LIST FOR THE SUMMER SEMESTER IF YOU DO NOT MAKE THIS APPOINTMENT). PLEASE DON’T FAIL TO MEET WITH YOUR MENTOR AND SUBMIT THE COMPLETED MIDTERM CONFERENCE SUMMARY FORM-INITIALED BY YOUR HONORS MENTOR—TO THE HONORS OFFICE:

The Honors Office will send you a midterm conference summary form and other information regarding your registration.

Please note: A midterm conference with your Honors mentor is not required for the summer semester, but if you are attending summer classes and your mentor is available on campus, it is strongly recommended.

 
 

Please return the completed Honors Contract to Dr. Liza Davis in LB 423.
