Journal of Learning Communities Research

Submission Policy: The Journal of Learning Communities Research welcomes scholars from all disciplines to submit original research articles utilizing qualitative, quantitative, historical, or legal methodologies on topics related to learning communities. Manuscripts investigating the scholarship of teaching within learning communities are also encouraged as are theoretical frameworks and models. Essays detailing applied research in the area of learning communities will be considered as well.

The articles will be peer-reviewed through a “double blind” procedure that ensures the author(s) and reviewers are not told the identity of the other(s). Reviewers will choose acceptance, acceptance contingent on revisions to the manuscript, or rejection of the manuscript. Submissions will be reviewed within 120 days, and authors will be notified of the status of the manuscript within 150 days of the editor's original receipt. Submissions will be published in the next available issue of the journal, unless the author is submitting a manuscript for a special issue.

Submissions should be sent as Word documents to lcjournal@kennesaw.edu . Manuscripts should be no more than 25 double-spaced pages, excluding references and tables. The first page should contain the name of the author(s), institutional affiliations, and name of department, address, phone number, and e-mail address. Names of author(s) and/or any other identifying information should not appear on any subsequent pages of the manuscript. All manuscripts must be submitted in English and utilize APA citation (5 th edition). Please do not use footnotes within the manuscript. Please note that manuscripts cannot be under consideration by another scholarly journal at the time they are submitted to the Journal of Learning Community Research.

Three copies of the manuscript should be sent when the submissions are mailed. Please include only one cover sheet with the identifying information for the author(s) explained previously.

Upon acceptance, authors will be asked to provide an abstract (120 words for less) and a complete copy of the manuscript on disk or CD to the Editor.
