Services

Tutoring:
We are drop-in based tutoring service. Simply sign in, have a seat and one of the tutors will be with you as soon as they are available. Tutors are here to assist you with the material you are working on. However, they are not a replacement for your instructor. Please bring in any materials such as notes and your textbook that your instructor has given you.

When the lab is busy, tutors will need to help as many students as possible. As such, the tutors will spend short periods with a student then move onto another student. Don't fear, they will be back.

Videos:
We have DvDs containing supplemental lectures for Math 97,98 and 99. We also have the ThinkWell CDs for both Calculus I and II

Software:
In the Learning Support Lab, we have access to Scientific Notebook, Matlab, and several other Math software applications. If you don't see the software you need let us know and we will see what we can do. Most tutors have had some experience with a majority of the software programs used on campus so if you're stuck don't be afraid to ask for help.

Who do we serve?
The primary focus of the Math Lab is to help students up through Calculus I. When there are tutors who have higher maths such as Calculus II and III, Discrete modeling, ECE, etc. we will try our best to help with those classes as well. However, we cannot guarantee that there will be someone here at all times to help with subjects about Calculus I. To find out if someone is available for a higher math, please take a look at our Tutors and Hours Pages.
