Workshops

Calculator Worksops for Spring 2008:

Basic Workshops:

Monday, January 14th 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, January 15th  12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, January 16th 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Friday, January 18th Noon


The basic workshops include the following topics:
*The locations of the major calculator buttons
*Using the main operators on the calculator
*Converting to and from fractions
*How the Order of Operations effects the calculator
*Many other topics to help get started using the calculator
Intermediate Workshops:
Wednesday, January 16th 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Friday, January 18th  2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, January 22nd 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The intermediate workshops include the following topics:
*An overview of the various graph types
*How to graph linear equations
*How to graph quadratic equations
*Common graphing errors and how to fix them
*How to find regression lines for linear and quadratic data
*How to use the various functions in the Calc graph menu
*Using 1-variable statistics


Each workshop will last about an hour.
