Kennesaw State’s American Democracy Project and Political Engagement Project
in conjuntion with The New York Times is proud to announce a call for art entries for “Are You Engaged?” a juried art exhibition celebrating Constitution Day. You are invited to create art that speaks to the significance, power, and impact of being civically and/or politically engaged locally or nationally. “Are You Engaged?” asks the question; now it is up to you to respond. Let us catch a glimpse of some of the diverse ways that
civic and/or political engagement have positively affected your life.

Kennesaw State's American Democracy Project and Political Engagement Project in conjunction with The New York Times is also proud to
announce our annual Student Essay Contest. This enterprise is designed to increase civic
awareness, enhance student learning, and advance understanding of the American political
landscape. This aim of this nonpartisan
project is to encourage political discourse among
students, peers, faculty, and administration both on and off campus. It is our hope to help build
students’ lifelong
commitment to political engagement through knowledge acquisition and
vigorous self development.
The successful entrant will write an essay responding to the question “How Can an Equitable
Healthcare Policy Be Achieved?”
