Meet the Early Start Bridge Academy Team
MICHAEL S. HEARD, Ph.D., J.D. is the Associate Dean of University College. He earned his undergraduate from Tuskegee University and graduate degrees from University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
ROB BIRRELL is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. He earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Humboldt State University, a Master’s degree in Mathematics from California State University-Northridge, and an Educational Specialist degree from Georgia State University.
KEN HILL is a Lecturer of First-Year Programs. He earned his undergraduate degree in Music from University of South Alabama in Mobile and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
KATHY MATTHEWS is an Assistant Professor of English and serves as Director of the First-Year Retention Initiatives. A Ford Foundation Fellow, she earned her degrees in English and Comparative Literature from San Jose State University (B.A) and the University of California, Santa Cruz (M.A.), respectively.
NICOLY Y. MYLES is the University College’s Early Start Bridge Academy Coordinator. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Affairs from Kennesaw State University and is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Education.
PINDER NAIDU is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. She earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Leicester Polytechnic, an MBA from University of Texas at San Antonio, and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Math Education at Georgia State University.
ZACHARY SMITH is the Pre-Collegiate Leadership Program Coordinator for the Center for Student Leadership. He earned his undergraduate degree in History from Kennesaw State University.
