FROM THE 2009-2010 FACULTY HANDBOOK (52 - 53):
Undergraduate Policies and Curriculum Committee — assigned to the Faculty Senate and advisory to the Provost
a. Purpose:
This committee will receive proposed policy changes regarding admission, progression, retention, course/program description and requirements for any undergraduate course of study offered at Kennesaw State University (in essence, any changes in the university catalog). The UPCC will also receive undergraduate course and program proposals from colleges and departments and will insure their compliance with university policies and goals. Recommendations will be directed to the provost and vice-president for academic affairs and the president for their action, and to the executive committee of the faculty senate for its use in monitoring the activities of this committee. This committee will also make policy recommendations regarding the curriculum development and review process to the faculty senate.
b. Membership:
1) TF 15; two elected from each college; one from and elected by the General Education Council.
2) AD 3; a person appointed by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; an elected librarian; the registrar.
3) SD 2; two undergraduate students appointed by the president of Student Government Senate in consultation with the vice president for student success & enrollment services.
