Meet the Director—Dr. Katherine Kinnick
Dr. Katherine Kinnick

Katherine Kinnick, Ph.D. is Director of Pre-College Programs in the Department of University Studies at Kennesaw State University. As a professor of communication, she has taught at KSU since 1995, and has directed the Dual Enrollment Honors Program since 2005. She was selected as the recipient of Kennesaw State’s highest teaching award, the Distinguished Teaching Award, in 2003, and received the university’s highest faculty award, the Distinguished Professor Award, in 2010. She was also a Governor’s Teaching Fellow and has served as the president of the Georgia Communication Association.

Dr. Kinnick received her Ph.D. in mass communication from the University of Georgia; a Masters in Communication from Georgia State University, and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of South Carolina. She has been a resident of West Cobb since 1989. She and her husband have three sons, including two who participated in the Dual Enrollment Honors Program.
