Honors Program – Your Entryway to Excellence
The Kennesaw State University Honors Program is all about you. In 1999, that focus on “you” led the KSU program to win recognition across the state of Georgia for “teaching excellence.” The essence of honors at Kennesaw State is personal attention, top faculty, small classes, enlightening seminars, research options, career-building internships—all designed to enrich your college education and prepare you for life achievements.
You may graduate as an Honors Scholar having completed a modest number of Honors requirements, including a capstone project that will significantly enhance your résumé. You will have special honors advisers and mentors to help you every step of the way—one of several special benefits reserved exclusively for members of the Honors Program. Other privileges include
- access to the spacious Honors Lounge/Study on the fourth floor of the Library
- eligibility to live in our special Honors Residence in University Village, the most comfortable residence on campus
- an advanced priority registration time every term after your initial enrollment, your ticket to building your ideal schedule, whether you’re registering in the fall, spring, or summer.
- special recognition at graduation (e.g., a red-and-gold honors epaulet to wear as you cross the stage).
Do you no longer feel challenged in high school? Are you ready to take on the world? Does learning beyond the ordinary catch your imagination? If your answer to these questions is yes; if you are a strong student filled with ideas; if you are longing for creative expression; and if you are ready to take on career-shaping challenges, then an Honors education at Kennesaw State University is just for you. Contact the Honors Director, Dr. Liza Davis, to schedule an interview and find out more about honors at KSU. We’ll take you higher. |
