Honors Program


Eligibility

 

YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE KSU HONORS PROGRAM IF YOU ARE

• A currently enrolled KSU student with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher in more than 15 and fewer than 60 semester hours of college credit earned at Kennesaw State

or

• An entering freshman who has met or exceeded the requirements for full admission AND has BOTH

(a) a high-school grade-point average of 3.5 or greater in academic subjects, as recalculated by the KSU Office of Admissions, AND

(b) a combined SAT score of 1200 or higher, or an equivalent ACT score

or

• A Dual Enrollment Honors student who has maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better in 30 hours of course work at KSU.

 

or

 

• A transfer student currently enrolled at KSU with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher in more than 15 and fewer than 60 semester hours of college credit earned at Kennesaw State. Transfer students who have completed Honors courses at other institutions should meet with the Honors Director to determine whether those courses fulfill requirements in the KSU Honors curriculum.



Exceptions may be made for candidates who can present a convincing and substantive case of their motivation and potential to succeed in KSU’s Honors Program.
