Meet The English/Reading Coordinator —Mr. Mike Keleher |

Michael Keleher is an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of University Studies. The recipient of the Department of University Studies 2006 Distinguished Teaching Award, Keleher teaches developmental writing and reading as well as freshman composition in KSU’s Dual Enrollment Honors Program. His research interests are rhetorical theory, communication ethics and instructional technology, particularly the use of weblogs in writing instruction. As the Principal Investigator for three Title II/Teacher Quality grants, Professor Keleher oversaw the integration of blogs, wikis and podcasts into language arts classes at local public schools from 2006 to 2009. His work has appeared in Business Communication Quarterly, Teachers as Avatars: English Studies in the Digital Age and the E-Journal of Ethical Leadership, and he currently serves as Southeast Region Coordinator for The College Reading and Learning Association. |
