If you want to add cash money to your CopyPrint/KSU ID card, the closest place to do so is at the northeast entrance of the English Building under the stairwell, the Sturgis Library (in the copier room) OR the Student Center 2nd floor hall on the opposite side of the cafeteria from the Card Services Center. Change is not available, so please bring $1, $5, or $20 bills.

CopyPrint Refunds (Mac Lab in Visual Arts only)

If you lose money on the CopyPrint system after trying to print in the Mac Lab, please fill-out a refund slip located next to the print release station (or ask your lab attendant for one). It is very important to completely fill-in all of the blanks on the form, especially the "reason" section at the bottom. How to Print to Color and Black & White Laser Printers

Printing to the Color and Black & White Laser Printers

NOTICE: Adobe Photoshop CS3 will not print properly to the Black and White printer. You will lose your money and waste paper! Do not send jobs to the Black and White HP9000 printer from Photoshop CS3. Instead, open the file either in Preview or Photoshop CS2 (in applications folder).

  • To print, all students must have a KSU ID card. Cash for printing can be transferred to the card in the student center, the English Building or the Sturgis Library using the designated machines. Or if you would like to add money with a debit/credit card, visit the following site with your Internet browser:
    https://kcashmanager.kennesaw.edu/
  • Change the drop down menu to either VA224 COLOR or VA224 B&W. All programs: File » Print

  • Only high-quality laser/copy paper can be used in the machines. This paper is supplied by the people who service the printers. Only student assistants may access the paper drawers. If you need to print something double-sided, please ask a student assistant.

How to Print to the Epson 4800 Ink Jet Printer

Printing to the Epson 4800 Photo-Quality Ink Jet Printer

  • You must supply your own paper for this printer. Epson-brand photo papers work best, but other photo glossy, semi-gloss and matte papers also work well.
  • You must save your Illustrator, InDesign, or other document as a PDF. To make the best-possible color calibration, use the “Convert to Profile” command under the Edit menu of your Adobe applications to make the settings as shown:

  • Temporarily save a copy of your file to the Lab224 server space. Let the lab attendant know your file is available for printing to the Epson.
  • Write your name and Net ID, the file name, file size, and type of paper media on the “Epson Print List” next to the print release computer station.
  • The attendant will open the file on the Windows XP computer and will send the file to the print-release station from there.
  • When the job finishes spooling to the print-release station, you must swipe your I.D./Print card. The attendant will enter his/her NetID and send the print job to the Epson 4800. Please allow extra time for files to print. A $2.50 charge will go for each printed sheet up to 13 in. X 19 in.
