LETTER:

Attach your completed Scholarship Application Form to your letter and resumé.

Type a one to two page (double spaced) letter to the scholarship committee that addresses the following questions:

Why are you applying for the scholarship?
Why do you think you are deserving of a scholarship?
What are your professional goals and how you can contribute to the Department of Visual Arts at KSU?
What effect will winning a scholarship have on your artwork?
If you are applying for a Study Abroad scholarship, address this in your letter.

RESUMÉ:

List all campus organizations in which you have been an active member.
What contributions have you made to those organizations?
Briefly describe art activities in the community: volunteer services, visits to museums and galleries, non-credit courses taken, and participation in art exhibitions and awards, etc.

Portfolio CD-ROM:

Ten examples of your best work should be included on your CD-ROM. These can be in the form of jpeg or tiff format. Make sure your CD is formatted with compatibility for both Mac and PC platforms.

Portfolio will not be returned without a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

Application & Portfolio Deadline:

CD-ROM, Application Form, and Essay must be received by
Noon, Monday, March 17, 2008
