The top three winning art works will be published on the front and back cover of the new ART1107 textbook.
These works were selected from over 60 works submitted by 30 VA students. Thanks to the judges, Daniel Sachs, Deborah Hutchinson, and Pipar West, for selecting such strong works, and especially to Shane McDonald for facilitating nearly every aspect of the contest.

Original works of winners must be available for photography and printing.
Currently-enrolled visual arts students at Kennesaw State University who are able to provide access to the original artwork at the time of awarding prizes for photographic and pre-production processes necessary to make the artwork reproducible in a textbook. The submitting artist must relinquish limited rights of reproduction of the winning artworks to Pearson Custom Publishing Company in Boston, MA.
1st: $300 Illustrated on front cover.
Artist’s photo and biography will be printed on inside front cover.
2nd: $200 Illustrated on back cover.
3rd: $100 Illustrated on inside back cover.
Submissions should be original works photographed (or digitally-rendered in the case of graphic design or digital illustration) to JPEG files whose smallest dimension of the image is no less than 1000 pixels and the largest dimension of the image is no more than 3000 pixels.
