KSU Open Call for Site-Specific Original Artwork Proposal
(up to $2000)

The Fire House Gallery ( in Historic Downtown Lousiville, GA is accepting application for a Curatorial Fellow.
The term of the fellowship is August 2011 through June 2012 (some room for negotiation). The deadline to apply is April 15, 2011.

Open Call for Student Artist Proposals:
Site-Specific Original Artwork

The Department of First-Year Programs and the Center for Student Leadership are pleased to
announce an open call for proposals for original artwork. We are looking for art that celebrates
student leadership at Kennesaw State University and that highlights student international service
trips. (Recent trips have included Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, etc.)

Entry Deadline: Proposals are due by April 22, 2011. Deliver proposals to the Department of
First-Year Programs, University College Building, Room 102.

Decisions: Decisions will be announced the week of April 25, 2011 by email.

Completion/Delivery: If your proposal is selected, you must deliver the completed piece by
June 17, 2011 to the Department of First-Year Programs. The artwork should be ready for wall

Exhibition Location: University Village, 6000 Building, 1st floor.

Price Range: Proposals up to $2,000 will be considered. Proposals should include all expenses,
including supplies, materials, and artist stipend(s).

Eligibility: Open to students currently enrolled at Kennesaw State University. Submissions must
be proposals for original works of art. This call is open for any media that can be wall-mounted.
Students may enter multiple proposals. Students may submit individually or in groups.

Proposals Should Include:
KSU email address
Phone number
Title of proposed artwork
Written description of proposed artwork
Drawing, photograph, or other visual representation of proposed artwork
Inclusive budget (materials/supplies and stipend)
