Groundbreaking Ceremony for Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art

Kennesaw State University held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art on September 25, 2011. The construction site is adjacent to the Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center. The 9,200-square-foot museum will house the University's permanent art collection and serve as a cultural resource on contemporary art. The museum is expected to open in fall 2013.

New Science Lab Addition

Kennesaw State University's College of Science and Mathematics opened a $21 million science lab in October 2012. The 73,000-square-foot building is the University's first facility dedicated entirely to scientific teaching and research. The building is designed to let professors teach tomorrow's scientists, ask fundamental research questions, and make connections across disciplines.

Sports & Rec Park

Phase III of the University's new 88-acre sports and recreation complex offers sports fields, track, lake, and concert venues. Thousands of Kennesaw State University's students will experience an array of athletic and cultural events on the nine new fields, an NCAA-regulation track and a nine-acre lake all adjacent to the the 8,300-seat stadium that will host sporting events and concerts.

Prillaman Hall

Kennesaw State University's WellStar College of Health and Human Services moved into the new $56 million Health and Sciences Building in August 2012. The nearly 200,000 square foot building houses the WellStar School of Nursing, one of the state's top producers of nurses.
