University Rooms A-E

The University Room is a large multipurpose facility that can be divided into several smaller rooms for events. Typically when divided at its smallest, this room is divided into thirds (A, B or CDE). Event capacity for University Room A, B or CDE depends greatly on the set-up and can range from approximately 64 (banquet style) to 140 (theater style). Seating capacity will decrease depending on staging, 6 foot tables and AV equipment needed. Each third of the University Rooms come equipped with a projector screen, projector, laptop connector, speakers and one microphone on a podium stand.

NOTE: All built-in systems in the Student Center come with a laptop connection that is compatible with PC laptops. All Mac users will need to have a VGA cable adapter in order to use the system. The Student Center rooms are not equipped with computers.

What you need to know:

  • Food is allowed in the University Rooms.
  • Maximum occupancy is 400 - theater, 200 - classroom, or 300 - 72" rounds with 10 chairs.
  • The University Rooms audio-visual systems are Extron-controlled and have varying capabilities.
  • Reservations can be made a year in advance.

The Atrium is located on the first floor of the Student Center. This is an open area near the University Rooms and can hold several different organizations at a time for information tables.

What you need to know:

  • Reservations must be made to use this open-access common area.
  • It is a multi-functional space and food is allowed.
  • The Atrium is an open space and does not require special access privileges.
  • No AV equipment is installed, minimal AV support.

Faculty and Staff Lounge

Room is setup banquet style with rectangular tables for 66 people. There is a built in buffet counter and small serving buffet located in the room.

This room is not available for special events between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. During that time it is open to all faculty and staff members to use for lunch.

What you need to know:

  • Food is allowed.
  • Maximum occupancy is 66.
  • No AV equipment is installed in this space.

Leadership Room

An existing set-up room that is arranged banquet style for 64 people. The room includes 10 small banquet tables with chairs, a podium, 1 large buffet, and a 6 rectangular foot table. There is also built-in AV equipment installed in the room which comes with a laptop connector, projector, speaker system and one microphone on a podium stand.

What you need to know:

  • Food is allowed.
  • Maximum occupancy is 64.
  • No extra tables and chairs can be added into the room.
  • One table may be added for a check-in table outside the room.
