Bachelor of Fine Arts in Textile and Surface Design

The textile and surface design program at Kennesaw State University emphasizes creativity and experimentation that combines design with art and technology.

You’ll be exposed to courses that include the history of fashion, apparel design graphics, international sourcing, fashion merchandising, quality assurance for textiles, advanced design and product development, and principles of marketing.  You’ll also take related courses in management, accounting, and engineering to round out your degree.

The core of the textiles and surface design program emphasizes aesthetics and creativity, two-and three-dimensional textiles and surface design skills, design technologies, the historical and cultural aspects of dress and textiles, sustainable design, and the role of textiles and surface design in a global context.
