    Kennesaw State University’s Office of Research is hosting a one-hour web show every other Friday at 4 p.m. to showcase the varied research being conducted by KSU faculty members. “Research with Relevance” spotlights Kennesaw State researchers in a live interview followed by an interactive question-and-answer session with the virtual audience. In this week’s episode, Clint Penick, assistant professor of biology in the College of Science and Mathematics, will discuss his research involving what humans can learn from how insects interact with their environment.  –  October 14, 2020

    Kennesaw State associate professor of molecular biology Martin Hudson has earned a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a study that seeks to identify genes involved in neurological disorders such as schizophrenia and autism.  –  October 12, 2020

  • KSU Architecture Student Recognized in National Steel Design Competition

    Kennesaw State University student Pablo Garcia was recognized with high honors for his architectural prowess in a recent national steel design competition. A fourth-year student in Kennesaw State’s Department of Architecture, Garcia received honorable mention in the 2020 American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)/Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Steel Design Student Competition, landing among a group of students representing institutions such as Clemson University, Louisiana Tech University and the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The competition recognizes 18 exceptional projects, in two categories, that explore a variety of design issues related to the use of steel in design and construction.  –  October 08, 2020

  • KSU alumna finds a spot on the team with Braves

    Sophia Bowers connected a personal passion for sports with her professional and academic goals during her time at Kennesaw State University. A lifelong sports fan and athlete, the December 2019 graduate of Kennesaw State majored in sport management. Adept with numbers and seeking another skillset to increase opportunities in the workplace, she added a minor in statistics. She combined those pursuits for a job as a customer relations specialist in the business intelligence department of the Atlanta Braves, a position to which she was promoted after working on the gameday staff at Truist Park last year.  –  October 07, 2020
