Teams Calling Transition: Positive Momentum Across Campus

KENNESAW, Ga. | May 27, 2025

The transition to Teams Calling is well underway! Here are two ways to manage your Teams availability:

  • Option 1: When it’s time to unplug, simply quit the app to automatically send calls to voicemail.
  • Option 2: Set your status to “Do Not Disturb” or “Offline" by following these steps:
    1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right.
    2. Click on your current status.
    3. A list of additional statuses will appear. Click the status you wish to set.

Want to learn all there is to know about Teams Calling?

University Information Technology Services (UITS) offers training on the basics as well as advanced features like conference calls, delegated calls, and how to leverage Teams integration with other Microsoft 365 tools: 

  • Attend a pre-scheduled Teams Calling workshop at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. on the third Friday of the month—Register and join via OwlTrain, or 
  • Request personalized training for your group via Teams or in person by following these steps: 
    1. Navigate to Software Support in the IT Service Catalog.  
    2. Select Training Request for KSU Technology.  
    3. Complete the form and select Group Training from the Request Type drop-down menu.
