The COTA Diversity Committee

The College of the Arts (COTA) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, a voluntary body of faculty, staff, and students, was chartered in 2020 to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all channels at Kennesaw State University.

Our Mission

The COTA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee supports the cultivation of learning communities that actively listens and intentionally responds to the needs of the current generation of students, faculty, and staff. We strive to be adaptable and ready to implement initiatives through shared governance, voluntary training, programming, research, and events in order to foster manifold perspectives and interpretations of the arts.

Our Vision

We envision our students seeing themselves in the curriculum by expanding the margins of artistic voices, perspectives, and interpretations so as to include everyone. We believe that the arts lead systemic change through willing participation in invention, synthetization, and action across the KSU community.
