As a modern workplace senior specialist with Microsoft, Stephens provides educational support to P-12 and higher education professionals throughout the southeastern United States. Stephens, who previously led the iTeach unit in KSU’s Bagwell College of Education, shows educators how to utilize Microsoft’s resources and technological tools to advance teaching and learning through innovative methods.

    Local teachers tap into Kennesaw State for cybersecurity instruction

    Faculty members from Kennesaw State University’s College of Computing and Software Engineering and Bagwell College of Education are helping metro Atlanta middle and high school teachers educate their students about cybersecurity. Through a grant they received from the GenCyber program, assistant professors of information technology Shirley Tian and Zhigang Li and assistant professor of instructional technology Yi Jin have been leading a cybersecurity education camp for the past two weeks.

    Kennesaw State helping children enhance their literacy skills

    Sanjuana Rodriquez, an associate professor of reading and literacy education at Kennesaw State University, sees herself in many of the schoolchildren who are participating in the Bagwell College of Education’s annual Fast Start Academy. During the four-week summer camp, which runs through Friday, Kennesaw State students and faculty members provide tutoring and educational activities for children in grades 2-6 who are below grade level in reading.
