Kennesaw State's online degree programs nationally ranked by U.S. News

Kennesaw State University online degree programs have been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as among the best in the nation in the publication’s 2025 Best Online Programs list. Two of KSU’s programs have been recognized as top 20 nationally, seven are among the top 50, and two other programs have ranked in the top 100.

Kennesaw State celebration honors MLK's legacy

Against the backdrop of a new exhibit honoring the “foot soldiers” of the Civil Rights Movement, the KSU Convocation Center filled on Friday to commemorate the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. during the MLK Legacy Breakfast Celebration. The celebration served as the kickoff for MLK Week, an annual event honoring the late civil rights icon. In addition to the breakfast, events are scheduled throughout next week to mark King’s legacy of promoting human rights, peace and service.

A Kennesaw State University student is looking to protect a $15 billion industry by addressing the declining honeybee population and leveraging statistical tools to identify environmental stressors. Naima Fouad-Gilliam, a master’s student at Kennesaw State’s School of Data Science and Analytics, is exploring hidden stressors harming honeybee colonies. Her research highlights the impact of unpredictable factors like weather, starvation, and queen failure alongside traditional threats.

Kennesaw State, Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement partnership will expedite career advancement for educators

A new partnership between the Bagwell College of Education and the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement (GLISI) will expedite degree completion for educators pursuing a first-of-its-kind educational leadership degree at Kennesaw State University. Established last spring, KSU’s Master of Education in Teacher Leadership and Educational Leadership became the first in Georgia to offer the combination of teacher leadership and Tier I educational leadership certifications, the latter of which is required for educators to obtain leadership positions in school systems across the state.
