Explore KSU’s Newest M.Ed. - the M.Ed. in Literacy Education
The online Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Literacy Education at Kennesaw State University is designed for certified teachers who want to become literacy leaders in their schools and districts. This program emphasizes culturally responsive pedagogy and equips educators with advanced skills in reading and writing instruction, assessment, and curriculum development. You’ll learn to support diverse learners and apply research-based strategies to improve literacy outcomes.
The 36-hour program can be completed in four semesters (summer, fall, spring, summer)
and leads to a certificate upgrade in Georgia.
The Application deadlines are May 1 for summer and July 1 for fall.

Leadership
The online M.Ed. In Teacher Leadership and Educational Leadership is the only combined M.Ed. program in Georgia that can be used to pursue Teacher Leadership roles or Educational Leadership roles. After you complete the degree and the required state certification tests, you will also be eligible for the promotion and pay opportunities funded by your district. This 30-hour program can be completed fully online in five semesters or two years. Application deadlines are July 1 for fall and Nov. 15 for spring.
