Description: This evaluation project examines the impact and outcomes of the 2025 Georgia Reads Awards Meeting, a statewide convening that brings together ten communities recognized for innovative and collaborative literacy initiatives. Led by the Interactive Research Methods Lab (IRML) at Kennesaw State University Bagwell College of Education, the project will facilitate and evaluate a structured, hands-on workshop designed to promote collaboration, peer learning, and data-informed reflection among participating communities. Using participatory facilitation and applied research methods, the IRML team will collect and synthesize data generated through workshop activities to identify promising practices, shared challenges, and strategic recommendations for strengthening literacy efforts across Georgia. Findings from the evaluation will inform GeorgiaForward’s statewide literacy agenda and support the development of a sustainable community literacy collaborative framework, including recommendations for future training and educational components.
Participating IRML Team Members: Drs. Iván Jorrín, Sanjuana Rodríguez, Juliann Noble-Healy, and Melissa Driver
