Kennesaw State undergrads showcasing research at national conference

Kennesaw State University is being represented by nearly 100 students this week at the 2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Edmond, Oklahoma. More than 4,000 students from 400 colleges and universities are presenting their research April 4-7 at the prestigious annual conference. With 93 students attending, Kennesaw State's number of participants is second only to the host institution, the University of Central Oklahoma.

KSU Spring Arts Festival

Celebrate the visual arts at Kennesaw State University on Saturday, April 14, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the free Spring Arts Festival. New this year, the annual indoor/outdoor community event will offer an expanded artist's market with booths of artwork by local and traveling artists.

KSU dancers to perform at the Kennedy Center

Kennesaw State's Department of Dance was selected from among 44 adjudicated works presented by collegiate dance programs across the Southeast to perform at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., during the National American College Dance Festival June 6-9. The Festival, regarded as one of the most prestigious venues to present collegiate dance in the country, is held biennially.

Graphic Design USA names two Kennesaw State graduates to 2018 list

Two graduates of Kennesaw State University's College of the Arts have been named to Graphic Design USA's "Students to Watch 2018" list. Audrey Arnold of Acworth, Ga. and Katie Vines of Tyrone, Ga. were among 75 students from universities throughout the U.S. named to GDUSA's annual list. Both women were nominated by faculty in the College's School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State.

Kennesaw State University Presidential Search Committees Named

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia has named the two committees responsible for conducting a national search for the next president of Kennesaw State University (KSU): The Presidential Search and Screen Committee and the Regents' Special Committee.

Kennesaw State taps former dean as interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs

Retired Professor Emeritus of Psychology and former KSU administrator Linda Noble has returned to Kennesaw State as part of the University’s presidential transition. Noble has joined the Office of Academic Affairs in a part-time role to assist Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Ken Harmon as he transitions into the role of interim president. Noble will then serve as interim provost when Harmon becomes KSU’s interim president on Feb. 15.

Today, Kennesaw State University (KSU) President Sam Olens has announced he will step down as president effective Feb. 15, 2018. Olens has served as president since Nov. 1, 2016.

Kennesaw State professor honored by National Communication Association

John Gentile, professor of performance studies in Kennesaw State’s Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, has received the National Communication Association’s (NCA) 2017 Lilla A. Heston Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Interpretation and Performance Studies. The NCA honored Gentile during its 103rd annual convention in Dallas.

Kennesaw State scores at top in U.S. curriculum study for seventh consecutive year

Kennesaw State University is among a select group of 24 colleges and universities that scored an “A” for its high-quality core curriculum in a nationwide study on the state of general education released this week by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA).

Kennesaw State to officially install Sam Olens as fourth president
October 10, 2017
Samuel S. Olens will be formally vested as the fourth president of Kennesaw State University on October 19. The Campus community is invited to the Investiture Ceremony at the Convocation Center followed by an Investiture Celebration on the Campus Green.
