Top turf: Kennesaw State stadium earns national award

For the fourth consecutive year, Kennesaw State University’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium has been recognized as one of the top playing fields in the country by the Sports Turf Managers Association. The STMA named Fifth Third Bank Stadium its 2018 “Field of the Year” in the College Sporting Grounds category. The multi-purpose stadium is the centerpiece of KSU’s Sports + Entertainment Park and hosts about 50 events a year.

Fifth Third Bank Extends Sponsorship with Kennesaw State University

Fifth Third Bancorp (Nasdaq: FITB) announced today that it will extend its sponsorship agreement with Kennesaw State University for four years, until 2023. The agreement with KSU Athletic Association grants the Bank naming rights to the university’s stadium and designation as the Official Bank of Kennesaw State Athletics.

Historic Gift to KSU Baseball

Mickey Dunn, President and CEO of ML Industries, has committed $2.5 million in support of the Kennesaw State University baseball program. It equals the largest one-time single donation and one of the most impactful gifts from an individual donor to the KSU Department of Athletics.

Owls Unveil Challenging Schedule

Owls Set to Begin Fall Season at Prestigious Tournament

The Kennesaw State men's tennis team opens its fall schedule this weekend at the 51st annual Southern Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by the University of Georgia. Play begins Friday morning and runs through Monday. A total of 153 players from 23 different schools will compete this weekend at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens.

Kennesaw State Announces Contract Extension For Volleyball Coach

Kennesaw State University's Board of Regents approved a three-year contract extension for Kennesaw State volleyball coach Keith Schunzel, it was announced Thursday. His contract now runs through the 2022 season. Since taking over the team in 2013, Schunzel has continually elevated the program, guiding the Owls to their first ASUN Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament berth last season. The 2017 squad finished the year with a 21-5 record, the most wins in program history.
