Whether you are a new or transferring student, we will help guide you to the resources you need to make the most of your experience at KSU, while setting you up for success beyond the classroom.Questions?
VA Certifying Officials
Veterans and their dependents who qualify for VA education benefits will work with VA Certifying Officials in the Office of the Registrar. The VA Certifying Officials have the responsibility of certifying (submitting) qualifying enrollments to the VA each semester so that you will receive your VA education benefits. They are available to discuss how your benefits work at KSU and answer any questions you may have regarding the impact on your benefits regarding enrollment, withdrawals and other issues that may arise.
All service members should speak with their Educational Services Officer (ESO) or counselor within their military service prior to enrolling at Kennesaw State University or any institution. Since military funding is limited, it is important for all service members to use all their resources in making any educational decision.
We have two dedicated Coles College of Business Career Advisors who assist students with the job search process, resume review and more. We also utilize the Handshake platform and encourage our graduate students to check there when looking for new positions, as companies post directly with us when they are looking for folks who are pursuing and finishing their MBA degrees. Here is the link to review the Career Development and Resources page for Coles.
While we don’t offer guaranteed direct job placement upon graduation from the program, utilizing the Career Development and Resource Center, as well as networking in the classroom with folks that work at prominent companies like Coca-Cola and Home Depot, can certainly aid in the job search process. Most of our students are current, full-time working professionals, so an advantage of our program is having direct access to folks who are hiring managers or who have great connections with hiring managers at notable companies. Many folks are looking to gain new responsibilities or to promote within their organizations, while some are seeking to begin a new career entirely, though we have both current students and alumni that work at companies like UPS, WestRock, HomeDepot, Chick-fil-A, Georgia Power, CNN, Porsche and Cox Automotive.
The College of Professional Education is proud to support our military with training for high-demand careers, whether you are looking for an industry certification, a digital badge in leadership or the latest technical skills. For many of our programs, VA Education Benefits and MyCAA for military spouses are accepted. They also offer a 10% discount for active-duty and veteran service members.
