Career and Academic Opportunities

The undergraduate Media and Entertainment major offers similar courses to the Integrated Global Communication M.A. program. The difference is the depth of knowledge in the M.A. program. Students who enroll in this Double OWL Pathway will learn the needed Communication theories and skills but at an advanced level that will prepare them for the rest of the graduate program's courses.

According to the both the US Department of Labor and GA Department of Labor, media careers are among the fastest growing nationally and in Georgia. The need for professionals to work in Georgia's entertainment industry (television, movies, and music) continues to grow, according to the Georgia Department of Labor's "hot careers" chart.
