Career and Academic Opportunities

The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering is a natural follower of the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. This accelerated pathway will give students a unique preparation for advanced positions, such as project manager, engineering manager, senior engineer, etc. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, salaries for individuals holding a mechanical engineering master’s degree are 9 to 13 percent higher than the average salary for mechanical engineers with only a bachelor’s degree.
